Often enough, we hear stories of the Nouveau Riche and how they were able to make the most of their lives and the opportunity that presented themselves at the most opportune times. There is a notion within us of a fairy godmother who had served these opportunities on a silver platter and they only needed to lift the lid and poof! Like magic they suddenly joined the ranks of the Nouveau Riche. But reading up on their biographies, their life and times, you will notice that they had the same cards dealt to them as with most of us. So how did these Nouveau Riche gain all that money in so short a time.
The answer is not that they got all those opportunities on a silver platter, rather it is how they made their own opportunities and capitalized on those. This is the basic difference between them and most of us. While all we did was wait for opportunity to arrive and knock on our doorstep, they did not care to wait and straightaway and made their own opportunities happen to them. By making their own opportunities, the nouveau riche decided that their fate was far too precious to leave to chance and so they made sure that they met their opportunities halfway, sooner than most of us. So make sure that you do not idle at home but go ahead and make your own opportunities for success.
